Hailey sat in the car with her father, on their way to a school called Horizon. Hailey thought this was so stupid and such a waste of time. She was fine and did not have a problem like her dad and that stupid psychologist thought. She sat in the backseat and listened to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ on her ipod she would not talk to her father. He had tried in the beginning, but had given up after a while of silence and many glares from Hailey. She hated being forced to come here. She wouldn’t be able to see her friends or go to dance lessons. She was worried that being at Horizon would get her way of being accepted to a prestigious dance school like the American Ballet Academy or Julliard after high school. Finally, they arrived and her dad parked the car. It felt like it took forever to Hailey. Well it did take forever, considering this place was in the middle of frickin’ nowhere. Hailey looked out the window and cringed. It was so outdoorsy and in the wilderness. She was used to the busy city of Rochester, New York. This was going to be an adjustment. She stepped out carefully onto the grass in her heels. This was so not a heel-wearing place, and that made her sad because she loved her heels. She slipped on her sunglasses and tucked a few strands hair that had fallen loose from her messy bun behind her ears. Her dad grabbed her suitcase from the back as Hailey grabbed her backpack, which had been sitting next to her on the seat. Hailey refused to look at her Dad. She increased the volume on her ipod as they slowly made their way into the main building and found their way to the offices. This was a nightmare, and she saw no way out. OUTFIT

*It’s been a really really messed up week ! Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter Camilla scrambled to find her other boot. She had a new student to admit and her morning was not going as well as planned. She was supposed to be teaching a class at the moment, but she'd gotten someone to cover it for her. Since Damon was a bit busy, she had to be the one to check the student in. According the the file she'd been handed the day before, the girl's name was Hailey and her parents were concerned for her health because she had developed Anorexia Nervosa. Camilla finally found her boot and slid it onto her foot before jogging out of the cabin and across the property to the main office building.
Once she reached the door she walked in almost completely breathless. For someone who was in terrific shape, the run had killed her. She figured it was just because she was so rushed. She looked around and smiled at the man standing in the office with the young girl who she assumed was Hailey. She looked just like the girl in the picture of the file. "Hi, you must be Mr. Devereux. I'm Camilla Cortez one of the Trackers counselors here at Horizon. I'm also the Spanish teacher here." She looked at the girl sitting in the seat. The music was loud but still low enough where she was sure the girl could hear her. "And you must be Hailey. Nice to see you," she smiled. One of the student workers handed her the girls file. * And my girlfriend went and cheated on me ! , She’s a California dime but it’s time for me to quit her tagged , hailey!. outfit , outfit!words , . lyrics ,tonight tonight by hot chelle rae status , finished. notes , i'll search her things but not in this post.

Hailey looked up when she heard a woman speak and rolled her eyes. Great a counselor. Someone who would try to get in her head and make her believe that she had a problem. Hailey’s dad looked at the woman and extended his had to her as he said, “Yes, I am. It is nice to meet you. Thank you for meeting with us.” Hailey ignored the two adults. She reached into her backpack and pulled out her pink lip glass. She unscrewed the cover, re-applied, it, and put it back in her bag when she was satisfied.
She sigh as the counselor lady who identified herself as Camilla addressed her specifically. Great, not she had to respond back. She had to at least say something to the woman. Hailey knew if she didn’t her Dad would be pissed at her for not being respectful to an adult. But he wasn’t going to be here long, so that meant she didn’t have to try to fake it that much. He would not be able to ground her when he wasn’t going to be in this hellhole with her. Hailey looked at her with a fake smile plastered across her face and said sarcastically, “oh my god! I’m like soo happy to meet you too! Can we just get all this bullshit over with?” Hailey knew her Dad would be shocked. She never swore in front of him at home. At this point, she didn’t care what he thought. He was ruining her life by sending her here.

*It’s been a really really messed up week ! Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter Camilla smiled and shook the man's hand. She listened to the girl's greeting. Sarcasm. Of course. Camilla was used to it by now. It was nothing new. Hell she had practically invented sarcasm. Hailey's father of course looked shocked at the language. Before he could reprimand her though Camilla raised her hand a stopped him. She looked at Hailey with a smile of her own. "Well Hailey if I had known you were going to be this sweet and welcoming I would have rushed over here sooner," she said, her own voiced laced with sarcasm. She looked at Hayley's dad who seemed a bit worried. "It's okay Mr. Devereux. Every student we get here acts out in their own way. Not everyone reacts happily to Horizon, at least not a first. Why don't you follow me back to one of the empty offices and I'll explain how things work here okay," she smiled.
She walked a little ways back and picked an empty office. She sat down in a chair across from the couch where she gestured to two guests to sit. "First off let me start by saying I am not a doctor of any sort. I'm not that type of counselor. The group counselors here are basically in charge of the different groups. They are our specific responsibility, though we do look out for all the kids. Hailey will me in my group, the Trackers. My co-counselor is Damon White, I believe you spoke to him on the phone Mr. Devereux. Think of this as a regular school. We have a state approved curriculum so that you won't fall behind. Hailey, you'll finish out your high school years here and graduate unless your father decides to pull you out for some reason or you are dismissed by Peter, who is in charge. He's at the top of the totem pole and also the Cliffhangers counselor. He runs the school. I must warn you, it's very rare we expel students so you can try your hardest to get kicked out but I guarantee it most likely won't work. Along with the regular classes, you will have to attend group with some of your fellow Trackers twice a week. Either Damon or myself will oversee the group sessions along with one of our guidance counselors. You won't be forced to talk, but you have to respect the others in the group while they are talking. We also have mandatory outdoor activities that count just like any class would. We take hikes, rock climb, kayak, canoe, etc. Again, more than like Damon, myself, or both of us will be leading these."
She took a break from talking to let this all sink in. "We all share the load here at Horizon including counselors. Every group had their chore and chores rotate about once ever week. That means one week you may be on kitchens which means you and the other Trackers will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving the meals. The next you may have dishes and clean up duty, Equipment check up and cleaning duty, laundry, etc. Everyone is expected to help out. You're also responsible for keeping your cabin clean. Curfew is at 11:00, which means in your cabin and lights out. We do have room checks nightly. Violence won't be tolerated in any form. Like anywhere else in the world, if you break the rules there are consequences. It can be anything such as shuns, where you are allowed to communicate with anyone for a certain amount of time, which means eating alone, going from class straight to cabins, and only talking when in designated Horizon activities. It can also be chopping wood, extra chore duties, a paper, solo treks, etc. We'll give you the same respect we expect you to give us okay Hailey. Since you're new you'll be assigned a buddy to help you get adjusted here at Horizon. It will be someone from the Trackers and it will only be for a few days."
She took another pause to review Hailey's file. "Two more things before I give you a tour of the grounds. The first is that there are certain things considered contraband here. Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, nicotine products, weapons, diet pills, and razors just to name a few. Cellphones as well. Because of this, before we take the tour I will have to search your belongings. I've seen every trick in the book and I know how kids sneak things in. Hell I've done some of it myself when I was your age. Toothpaste, shoes, clothes, and just about everything else will be checked. Your cellphone will be confiscated or you can leave it with your father whichever you prefer. The last thing is about the reason your here. Your dad and a few other people are concerned about your weight. Even by looking at your I can tell that you aren't healthy Hailey and that's dangerous. You may not think you have a problem and you don't need to be here, but your father seems to think so and I would have to agree. All students who are admitted for eating disorders, whether they agree or not, are weighed once every week or so. After you've been here for awhile and if we see you're getting back up to a normal weight, the weighings will happen less frequently. It's important you know we aren't picking on you Hailey. We do body checks with self harm students and we do drug tests on students with drug problems. We aren't trying to invade your privacy in anyway. We put a certain amount of trust in our students. When you first get here the checks happen often, but soon enough they'll be few and far inbetween because we trust you guys enough to hope you won't do anything to set back your progress. It's for your best interest. I know you're probably sick to death of hearing those words. God knows I was. Whether you want to get better or not though Hailey, we care enough about you to make sure you get better."
She took a deep breath. "So, I know that's a lot to take in and process for both of you. Take your time to think about it. Do you have any questions?" * And my girlfriend went and cheated on me ! , She’s a California dime but it’s time for me to quit her tagged , hailey!. outfit , outfit!words , . lyrics ,tonight tonight by hot chelle rae status , finished. notes ,longest post ever.

Hailey rolled her eyes when Camilla spoke back to her in a sarcastic tone. Her dad rolled her suitcase following Camilla into an office. Hailey grabbed her backpack and slowly followed after them. Her father set her suitcase off to the side and took a seat on the left side of the couch. Hailey walked in after and sat on the far right. She crossed her legs and set her backpack in her lap. She took out her earbuds and put the ipod in the bag. Hailey listened to her speak and tried to hide her look of disgust when Camilla mentioned all of the outdoor activities she was going to be expected to participate in.
As Camilla carried on with her rant Hailey picked at her finger nails. She almost let out a laugh when Camilla mentioned a buddy. What were they 5? Seriously, that was ridiculous. Hailey did not need or want a buddy. She was going to ditch her pathetic buddy as soon as she could.
Hailey looked at Camilla when she talked about searching her things. She had kind of thought they might do something like that, but hadn’t thought her Dad would be present for that. She had worked hard to keep her smoking and use of diet pills and laxatives from her parents. She didn’t want him to find out when Camilla went through her things, that is, if she’s good enough to find them. Her Dad would be absolutely livid. Hailey felt her heart start to pound when Camille talked about searching her clothes. She tucked her hands behind her backpack and clenched them into fists. She liked the feel her nails dig into her skin, the pain helped calm her. Would she search the clothes Hailey currently had on? If so, would someone watch her change out of them? If they did, Hailey was sure they would see the healing cut on her right thigh and scratches on her stomach. She had just scratched herself this morning in the bathroom. What lie could she make up to explain those? She continued to dig her fingernails into her palms as Camille continued to go on about how Hailey was not healthy and had an eating disorder. How many times did Hailey have to tell people she did not have an eating disorder, but was just trying to stay thin for dance? No one who was obese would make it as a professional ballet dancer, and that was just a fact. They would not be able to get height in their jumps and their partner would have a hard time lifting them for lifts, among other things.
Hailey took a deep breath and released her hands. Her Dad nodded that he did not have any questions. Hailey figured it was probably because he talked with that other counselor guy Camille had mentioned and had them all answered when they were scheming to ruin her life. Hailey frowned at Camille and said, “I just want to clarify some things, okay? I do not do outdoor activities. It’s dirty, filthy and gross. Have you seen these shoes?” She lifts her left foot up into the air showing off her heel. “I love my heels. They’re pretty. And I’m not getting on your stupid scale! I don’t see how you can force me and I do not need a scale to tell me how fat I am!” Hailey did not care what they said, she would do everything in her power to not gain more weight. They would have to force feed her to get her to eat what they probably considered a decent meal.
