After she had the abortion she had sex with a classmate hoping to get pregnant again and make up for the abortion. She wasn't successful. She told her twin sister Jericho about the rape before she told anyone else, but Jericho didn't seem to care. Every now and then when things get overwhelming, Karianne still cuts herself, she just places them where no one can see them. She's been caught a few times during body checks.

Overall personality:

Karianne was always a girl who was very invested in her faith. She was the little girl who always knew there was a God and never once doubted what he was capable of. She was fun loving and free spirited, always ready to have fun. She was very soft spoken, never wanting to step on anyone's toes or get on anyone's bad side. Really, it was very rare for people not to like her because of her sweet demeanor. Only her twin sister Jericho seemed to have that problem. Karianne always tried to be perfect and was a very big people pleaser. She wanted to make her mother proud of her, though it was very rare that she succeeded.

After the rape, Karianne withdrew into herself. She didn't talk to anyone, not even her older sister Nevaeh. She was so ashamed, and even more so after she found out she was pregnant. She knew God wouldn't punish her because the rape wasn't her fault, or at least she thought so. After she told her mother though, she was convinced she was a dirty Jezebel which only forced her self-esteem to a lower point. She was never happy or in a playful mood and she became depressed and desperate for an out. She lost her faith as well, wondering what kind of God could possibly love her after the sins she had committed. What kind of God would allow her to go through this.

Overall she is a very sweet and soft spoken girl, however she let's her guilt get the best of her.

History: Karianne was born into a very religious oriented family. She was the youngest of three, one of whom happened to be her twin sister who was born a full hour before her. From the beginning, Kari was told that her faith was the most important thing she would have in life and to never let it go. She accepted this as her one truth. She was apart of the family and she was to act as such, in their little southern baptist town. They attended church about four out of seven days a week. Karianne was in the choir, on the usher board, church youth group, and went to bible study. She was a major part of the abstinence group as well as she got older. She did all of these things not because she was forced to, but because she truly believed in everything that the Church taught her.

It caused quite a bit of scandal when the head deaconess's daughter had her boyfriend move in with the family, but Karianne stood by her mother. Pretty soon the scandal died down. She was never quite comfortable about Allen, but she ignored the feelings she had toward him. She just wanted to be the perfect Christian daughter. Her mother always seemed to favor her sisters over her and so Karianne had to work extra hard for her approval. Any chance of that approval flew out the window when Karianne was raped by Allen one afternoon in her home. No one else was home because it was Bible Study day, but Karianne was sick and couldn't attend. After the rape, Karianne was devastated. She confided in her twin sister, though the two had never been that close. Jericho ignored her sister's cries and just told her to keep quiet about it. She couldn't stay quiet for long, however, because soon she realized she was pregnant.

When she finally told her mother, her mother blamed Karianne for what happened saying she brought it on herself by being to provactive and seducing him. She forced Karianne to get an abortion, something their faith always told them was wrong. She said that they were never to tell anyone about what had happened. After the forced abortion, Karianne began cutting herself and developed anxiety disorder. She had major guilt over her abortion and her mother didn't make her feel any better about the situation. One day she slit her wrists, hitting major veins, and almost dying, which was essentially her goal. Her sister, Naevah found her and they rushed her to the hospital. She was sent to Horizon soon after. Still has panic attacks occassionally. Really a sweet girl but holds extreme guilt from her abortion.
