History [at least 2 paragraphs; 5+ sentences each]: As a young child, life seemed to be going fine for Sunny. For a long time, she would only let people call her Rebecca, and nothing else. She never knew her mom's side of the family. Samantha never talked about them. When Rebecca was around eight years old, her parents had twins girls. Rebecca didn't like it at first. She didn't like it to such a point that both of her parents thought it would be better if she was to live with her Nan-Nan, and Pa-Pa for a bit. They didn't live that far away, so Rebecca was fine with that.
Eric was in the Navy before Rebecca was born. For as long as she could think back to, he had always been in the Navy. And for the longest time, she wanted to be just like her daddy. Even at a young age, she was thinking of joining the Navy, or anything like that. her dad was happy that his little girl wanted to do something like that, but her mom on the other hand didn't want any of her daughters doing anything like that. And that started the many fights. Which made Eric want to leave home more and more in the end. Rebecca blamed her mom right off the bat, and wouldn't go home for nearly nine months after the first time Eric left the house. She went and staied with her grandparents.
As the years moved on, Samantha felt the little family of five (though it felt more like just four) needed to move. So she packed herself, Eric and the three girls up and moved closer to the ocean. At first Rebecca, Who by then was going by Becca, was pissed. And that was the nice way to put it. She wouldn't speak to Samantha for the longest of times. Slowly, thanks to talking to Nan-Nan and Pa-Pa, she came around and got over it. Becca was 11 at the time of the move.
Slowly she got over being pissed, it took a year to do so, but Becca managed to do so. Eric moved back home within that year, and that helped Becca. She didn't like just sitting around the house, mainly because of her twins sisters. She didn't ask for them to come into the family, and she still didn't care for them most of the time.
It wasn't until Becca was 13 and she told her parents that she would only be going by Sunny. Her dad, Nan-Nan, and Pa-Pa were fine with it. It was her mother that had issues with it. But after a while she came around to it. That year Sunny really started turning into the person she is now. With her new friends, and spending many days (and nights) at the beach.
When she was 14, Eric was called away again. At first everything seemed fine. But as the months went on, something seemed wronged. Finally, after five months of no word, the family found out that Eric was MIA. By the time the news got to the family, Sunny was 15.
Sunny didn't come home for three weeks when she heard the news.
When she did finally come home, Samantha had her things packed up, and sent her to the school.
Sunny hopes to hear some day soon that in fact her dad is really alive, and not dead. Like her mom kept telling her over and over again.
I guess I'll go

Rp sample [may be from other site; must meet posting requirements]: Joan sat on her bed, one leg hanging off of the edge. She still hadn't managed to pull herself out of her slump. And she was starting to get scared. She was starting to think that she might not be able to do so.
Her red hair hung down, simply tucked behind her ears. Reading glasses in place, her bible open in her lap. But she wasn't looking at it.
The teenager slowly reached up and slipped off the glasses with a sigh. She was great at holding up a mask, but like any great actor, at the end of the day, she needed to be able to take the mask off and be true to her inner self. No matter how
sad the self may be at that time.
Joan stretched out her other leg, and leaned back against her pillows.Life just didn't seem the same since that event. Not even in her mind could she bring herself to call it by the right name.
True, Douglas may be dead, finally, but even with that fact, she still feared him. She didn't know how many people he had known while he had been in town. And that sole thought brought enough fear to send a cold shiver down her spine.
She let her head rest against her top pillow and squeezed her green eyes closed tightly. She was trying, in vain, not to cry. That was one thing she didn't want to do, not then or ever. Joan felt that if she did cry, it would just give Douglas power, even while he was six feet under.
She slowly sat up, pulled up legs towards her body and wrapped her arms around them.
She wanted to be able to talk to someone, but she didn't know who that person might be. She didn't want to bother Serena, Max or even Paige. It didn't feel right to her. They had enough on their own plates as it was, with her shove more on them.
"Damn it!" She cried out, punching a pillow.
Joan felt so lost, and with Josh hardly even talking to her, it just hurt worse. The one person she thought she could always count on, no matter what, proved her wrong.
"Why me God?" She asked, looking above herself, her hands stretched out, psalms facing up, "What did I do to earn such a punishment?"
It was the only thing she could think of doing at that point. She had gone through everything else. After calling that out, Joan couldn't hold back the tears any longer.
Every single tear that flowed from her eyes, she had held back since Douglas grabbed her off of the street.
As the tears fell Joan curled up into a ball in the middle of her bed. Her bible laid opened to Psalms 23.
"I'm in over my head, Lord." she whispered, "I should let it all go, but it's so hard. I'm just so lost. Please just show me the way. I finally give up, and give it all to you."
Her right hand reached up and held onto her cross, as she closed her eyes and just laid on her bed.
