This is stupid. So fucking stupid. Why do we have to take classes? Daisy slid into a chair by a random desk. Daisy was grumpy, and didn't want to learn today. She wanted to be back in her cabin, sleeping. She glared at the board, where the teacher was. "Hurry up and fucking teach so I can get this over with!" she muttered under her breath.
So, for the first ten minutes the teacher was going on and on about something nobody could understand before she actually started teaching the class. And what did she actually teach? Stuff Daisy already knew. It was like a review, but more boring. If Daisy had a choice, she would leave the classroom and run back to her cabin, but she couldn't. She was forced to sit there and listen to the teacher drone on about old stuff. At least that meant Daisy didn't have to pay attention.
So she glared at the board, the window, the door. She glared at everything. She was grumpy after all.

Jacqueline was very bored at the Mount Horizon. It wasn't where she belonged, for sure. She has been there for almost two years now, and she still felt awkward about this place. She wanted to run away from the school, but she prefer this place to her home. Her family was always fighting with each other, sometimes with Jacqueline too. And she hated it. And where else could she go? So she still stayed here, full of patience, sure that it would end someday.
Jacqueline was sitting in the classroom now, listening to the teacher speaking. Well, she tried at least. But however hard she didn't try, she couldn't hear a single word the teacher said. It was like her mind was in somewhere else. And it wasn't her fault. She tried to concentrate, but it didn't help. So, she took her pencil and started playing with it, rolling it over her desk. It entertained her a bit.
But suddenly the pencil fell down on the ground. "Oh, no." Jacqueline said with low voice and tried to search for her pencil, looking under the desk. But it wasn't under her desk, so she looked under another desk and she saw her pencil there. She sighed and looked up to see who was sitting on that desk, under which her pencil was. It was a girl, whom Jacqueline didn't know too well. She was from cliffhangers.
"Um... Can you please give me my pencil, it's under your desk." Jacqueline said as low voice as possible so teacher didn't hear her.

This class was boring. It didn't matter if we learned or not. This was Mt. Horizon, where kids had problems. Daisy didn't like Mt. Horizon, but she would chose this place over her home any day.
Classes were stupid. Whats the point if were never going to learn anything new? Daisy thought. So she glared at the teacher. It was because of the teacher that Daisy was bored and really grumpy. Classes were a huge waste of time.
A few seconds later, she noticed a pencil under her desk. It wasn't hers. Someone probably dropped theirs, and it rolled under her desk. "Um... Can you please give me my pencil, it's under your desk." A girl asked. Well, obviously Daisy thought. She stopped herself from saying it out loud. This was a girl Daisy didn't know very well. There was no point in being rude.
Daisy picked up the pencil from under her desk. "Oh, sure. Here's your pencil." Daisy replied handing it over to the girl. "By the way, who are you?" Daisy didn't intend for her question to sound rude. She knew she saw this girl before around Mt. Horizon. But, obviously, Daisy didn't know her.

Jacqueline stared at the girl as she spoke, but as soon as she finished talking, she looked at the teacher. She wanted to know if she saw her or not. Thanks god, it seemed like she didn't see anything. She was busy talking about... about something. Well, Jacqueline wasn't sure what she was talking about. But it was boring for sure, and she couldn't listen to her, despite how much she tried.
Jacqueline looked back at the girl soon after she made sure teacher didn't see anything. The girl took a pencil and handed it over to Jacque. She took it from the girl's hand, trying not to be noticed by teacher. Then she moved her eyes back to the girl and smiled at her as warmly as she could. And she was good at it.
"Thank you." She said and paused, listening to the girl's question. "By the way, who are you?" The girl asked to her curiously. Jacqueline smiled. Well, it wasn't surprising question for her, because, usually no one noticed her and no one knew her. And she didn't know that girl either, at least not talked, but obviously, she has seen her couple of times.
"I am Jacqueline. From Trackers cabin." Jacqueline said and smiled shrugging her shoulders. "And you?..."

It was almost surprising that the teacher didn't notice anything. She was just droning on about something unimportant. It was useless information, and it could never help in the future.
This girl took the pencil and smiled. Daisy didn't know her, but maybe she was kind? Or maybe just grateful? "Thank you." She said after taking the pencil back. Instead of saying 'your welcome' like she should have, Daisy smiled. This girl didn't really seem to have any problems, so why the hell was she at Mt. Horizon?
"I am Jacqueline. From Trackers cabin." Jacqueline shrugged. "And you?..." So, Jacqueline was in the Trackers cabin! That explained a lot. "I'm Daisy, from the Cliffhangers cabin." Daisy replied. "Nice to meet you."

Jacqueline was really tired, with all these stupid, useless lessons. She likes to learn new things, but here, she didn't learn anything new. Well, too much, at least. This place was terrible. Sometimes, Jacqueline regretted what she did, the reason she was sent here. But she did it all, because she wanted to forget everything, and the pain would forget her other problems.
Jacqueline smiled at the girl, her head halfway turned to to the teacher. So, the girl was really from cliffhangers, like Jacqueline thought. She remembered things like that easily.
"Nice to meet you too." Jacqueline said with quite and low voice. "This lesson is so boring." She suddenly said her thoughts out aloud, unintentionally.

"Nice to meet you too." Jacqueline said quietly. "This lesson is so boring." Daisy couldn't agree more.
She started glaring daggers at the teacher. Did she purposely plan to teach the class something so useless? She wished the teacher, Mrs. What's-Her-Face, would leave. Okay, that wasn't really her name. Daisy didn't even bother trying to remember, so that was what she called her. There was no point in even calling her the right name. As Mrs. What's-Her-Face scribbled something on the board, her chalk fell out of her hands, and became crushed on the floor, no longer being able to be used. The teacher grumbled something, then turned toward the class. "Sorry, I need to get more chalk. Stay in your seats, and you better not talk," Mrs. Whatever warned. Ha, like that would ever happen. The teacher finally left and Daisy's wish was granted.
"Finally, that worthless teacher is gone," Daisy sighed, finally turning toward Jacqueline. "I really don't like this place. I don't like this class, or Mt. Horizon," Daisy said, but then shrugged. "I guess it's better than the hell hole I'm forced to call home, though."

Jacqueline couldn't be more happy. The teacher has gone to get chalk, well for only few minutes, but still... They could get some peace finally. But, no, not peace. The class became noisy as hell, as soon as the teacher left. But Jacqueline didn't pay that too much attention. She heard the girl's voice, so she turned to her.
Jacy smiled at girl and nodded her head, trying to convince her that she understood what she meant. And she did, perfectly. Mount Horizon was terrible. And everything around here. But still, it was better than her home. At least, she didn't have to listen to her family fighting and arguing everyday.
"Um... Yeah, I understand... This place really sucks." Jacqueline said with still quiet, though a bit louder voice now, because she was sure the teacher couldn't hear it anyway. "But... Yeah, it's better than my home. My home sucks even more." Jacqueline said with a deep sigh and shrugged her shoulders.

The classroom was hell right now. It was a noisy hell with people yelling and talking extremely loudly. If Daisy wanted to, she would yell at everybody to shut the hell up, but they were just taking advantage of the opportunity they were given to talk. Honestly, what was wrong with that? With the teacher in the room, everything was boring.
Mt. Horizon was boring. The classes, the people, everything. Actually, the people were interesting. Sure, they were suicidal, most of them smoked or on drugs, but they were interesting. It was possibly wrong for Daisy to think this, but maybe that was what made them interesting.
"My home doesn't even feel like a home," Daisy replied. It was true. Being at the place where her parents abused her emotionally and verbally did not make her feel happy or comfortable there. In fact, Daisy considered Mt. Horizon more welcoming then where she lived. "I guess I would say that Mt. Horizon is a second better home for me, even though it sucks. But we all have reasons to be here right? So its no big deal," Daisy shrugged. She wasn't going to be self-pitying. She was here for her own reason and it was better to get use to it than mope around all day.
