She hadn't been doing good since she got at Horizon, her skin was dry all the time. She had constantly been showering, and trying to get clean. Horizon was one of those places that while it was safe, they were overbearing. She found herself almost as if she was hogged and covered by all the counselors at the school. She hated them. She sighed slightly as she looked towards the lake.
She had picked up some smooth stones, and were throwing it across the lake now. splish, splisshhh splashhh! the rock sunk into the water. She glanced towards the water as she tried to remember what home was like before Walt, and even at that, he ended up in her thoughts. She was about to jump into the water, when she thought she heard someone coming..
"Whoever you are, you might as well leave, you know your caught past curfew." It was dark, or well darker. She didn't really care. She had been breaking the rules for a while now.

*Bless your soul, you got your head in the clouds ! She made a fool out of you and, boy, she's bringing you down Camilla was humming to herself as she walked along the path against the edges of the cabins at Horizon. She hadn't felt like going straight back to her cabin after lights out and she wasn't responsible for room checks tonight. Rock climbing and hiking didn't seem like the best options for after dark activities, so instead she'd climbed onto her motorcycle and headed into town to Rusty's for a drink. She hadn't seen annie in awhile and she didn't want to have that drink in her cabin alone.
Drinking and driving didn't mix, even with a motorcycle, so Camilla made sure she limited herself so that she was sober enough to get back. Once she had gotten back, she parked her motorcycle in front of her cabin and then decided to head down to the lake. Something about how the moonlight hit the water during this time of night was so beautiful.
As she headed to the dock, she noticed someone standing there. They were too small to be a counselor from what Camilla could see. The closer she got the more she noticed it was a student. One of hers actually. Jessica Merrick. A smirk crossed her lips. "Actually, I think you're the one who's caught past curfew," she said as she walked down, hands in the back pocket of her jeans. She walked past the girl and then turned around. "But I won't turn you in...this time. Scout's honor," she said with a smile as she turned back to face the water.
"So Jess, what brings you here after hours? Camilla really wasn't one for busting students for less than serious behavior. * She made your heart melt but you're cold to the core ! , Now rumour has it, she ain't got your love anymore tagged , jessica!. outfit , outfit!words , . lyrics , status , finished. notes , lyrics don't really go with the post but the song was stuck in my head.

So Jessica was right in her reasoning, she had known someone was coming because of the humming, the certain steps on the ground and everything else. She figured that whomever it was, really just wanted to mess with her. She hoped it wasn't David and his stupid self. She felt trapped whenever he was in the room. She was slightly scared of him.
She looked towards the water as another smooth stone skipped across it and then it to settled when it splashed into the water. She sighed again.
She was about to say something smart back when Camilla, her counselor came into full view. She mumbled the words she heard her sister say many times, 'shit.' It was casual, almost as if it walked into the conversation. When her counselor said she wouldn't turn her in this time, she let out a sigh. She didn't think Camilla was all that bad, a bit strange, but not bad at all..
Jess looked at her now, "had a lot on my mind." She shrugged. Jess didn't really break the rules like anyone else at Horizon would. She would pick and choose, right now, she wanted to be out of the cabin and outside by the lake. Heck she would have jumped in, if it wasn't a counselor. She just really needed time alone."But I'm fine now." Jess pushed everything she had always out of her mind like it was nothing. Even if it wasn't.

*Bless your soul, you got your head in the clouds ! She made a fool out of you and, boy, she's bringing you down Camilla nodded in response. Jessica didn't talk much. Camilla had noticed that from the day that the girl had showed up at Horizon dripping from head to toe after running away from home. Most kids were forced to go to Horizon. Jessica volunteered. Camilla was sure it was because her older sister Shelby was a Cliffhanger here. It was probably the only place that really felt safe to the girls. Camilla had read both of their files and while Jessica hadn't gone through everything that Shelby had, that didn't make her childhood any less crappy.
"Understandable. I always come out here to think to. I used to do that back in Seattle when I lived with my grandparents. Something about lakes always seem so calming." Really Camilla felt like it was the moon. Something about a full moon like the one tonight always made her night seem so peaceful and it just calmed her down. It was always a good time to think. She slipped her shoes off and sat on the end of the dock sticking her feet into the water. She turned around to look at Jessica. "Hope you don't mind the company," though the girl was breaking a rule and should really be in bed, Camilla wasn't going to stress about it. If she wanted to be alone then Camilla would respect her wishes. * She made your heart melt but you're cold to the core ! , Now rumour has it, she ain't got your love anymore tagged , jessica!. outfit , outfit!words , . lyrics , status , finished. notes , lyrics don't really go with the post but the song was stuck in my head.

It was true that Jessica didn't really trust easily. She tried to but it never worked. She looked at Camilla, she sort of hoped that Camilla would well go away and leave her alone for that time being. She sighed a little bit, she really wanted to talk to Peter. It wasn't that she didn't like Camilla, it was more that she knew Peter a bit longer. She felt that Peter could save her, she wasn't sure about anyone else doing that instead.
Jess let out a small sigh as Camilla told her that she used to do it back home. Jess just shrugged a little bit. She didn't think that the counselor would really understand if she told her everything. No on would, except Shelby and right now she wasn't talking to her.
Jess shrugged when Camilla said that she hoped she wouldn't mind the company. She didn't think she really had to big of a choice, considering she was breaking curfew. She let out a small little nod. "I don't mind, I guess." She said as she watched her sit down. She really hoped that everything would be alright.
Jess looked at her and was about to say something, but stopped herself. She really wanted space, but at the same time she felt like she needed to let something else out. She just wasn't sure if she was ready to say it.
