Overall personality: Jess is loud. No when I say loud I mean LOUD! When she was young, her mother had to continuously remind her that her volume was inappropriate for a young lady. That just didn't work for Jessica. When she's laughing you can here her a mile away. If she's pissed, they can hear in the town over. The fact that she's loud just adds to her outgoing attitude and her overall personality. At least if there's something happens, you'll know. She's just too damn loud to ignore.

Jessica has never been the smartest girl in class, but she's definitely not dumb. She has always made good grades in school. Call her a nerd though and she'll deck you. If you need help with homework, you can ask, and Jess can at least steer you in the right direction (well most of the time anyway). Most of her grades are A's or B's. She doesn't really like to broadcast how smart she is. Not that she wants people to think she's dumb, no that wouldn't benefit anyone. She just doesn't like to brag, at least not about school work.

Jessica was always a bit of a tomboy. She has her girly moments but she loves basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse [both watching them and actually playing]. History: Family never had a lot of money. Her mother was putting her father through college so that he could become an advertisement executive. Her parents were always fighting about money, especially after her father finished with school. Her mother got fired and her father announced that he was no longer happy in this marriage and wanted a divorce. In actuality he had started sleeping with another woman. Jessica's parents got divorced when she was young. She hasn't even seen her father since the divorce became final. Her father moved to Los Angeles leaving her mother to take care of her and her older sister Shelby. Her mother took a waitressing job which was barely enough to take care of their three family home. They lost their house and were forced to move into a smaller house outside of the city.

The only person Jess has really relied on and talked to is her sister Shelby. She always looked up to Shelby. That was the only person who ever really took care of her. Jessica's life took a turn for the worse when her sister started running away. She thought maybe she had done something wrong when her sister began to disappear. And then it started. Walt began molesting her when she was twelve. She lived in fear of the moments when he would come into her room. She told no one, as there was no one for her to tell since her sister was not there. Two years later, when Walt had his heart attack, her sister did come back to take care of him and she revealed to Shelby what Walt was doing to her. When Shelby revealed he had done the same to her, Jess flipped. How could her sister leave her with that monster. Shelby called the police and she and Jess revealed what Walt had done. Once Shelby left again, life at home was still unbearable so she ran away. She lived on the streets for a few days, almost resorting to having sex for money like her sister. She didn't go through with it though and ran to Horizon. She blames both her mom and sister for what happened to her and is a bit resentful towards Shelby.
